Great Eye Care & Eye Wear That’s Close to Home.

When Betty Fretz acquired the optometric practice from John Monaghan in 1976 her dream was to help everyone she could. Her passion for optometry and improving the lives of her patients has always been at the core of her practice. When she started people would drive to bigger cities like Kitchener and London because they felt the eye care would be more extensive. Now, just 40 years later, many of our patients are travelling from these very cities to experience the unique and comprehensive therapies that we have to offer.

An Eye Care Team Dedicated to Your Health

Our office is thriving with over 20 committed professionals, including 5 Optometrists. Many members of our team have been devoted to both our office and our community for many years.

We are pleased that the office of Dr. Betty Fretz was chosen to receive the Employer Award of Distinction from Conestoga College’s Employer Recognition Awards in March 2016.

Taking Pride in Our Growing Community

We call Listowel our home and we love to support our vibrant and growing community. We are proud to sponsor scholarships for children with vision-related learning problems and work with our patients to help them succeed personally and academically. Dr. Betty Fretz has presented scholarships to graduates of our local high school, Listowel District Secondary School, since 1980. We also accept glasses for third-world missions and are happy to have participated in this program for over 36 years.

We also participate in the North Perth Community of Character, a community initiative that encourages equal opportunities to work, play, and live for everyone.
